Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a Home Carer to join the Community Resource Team to help adults regain independence at home after illness or hospital stays. You will support daily living skills, promote dignity and consent, and work with other professionals to ensure needs are met.

You will follow RISCA and safeguarding policies, maintain records, and travel across Cardiff to support service users. Training including QCF may be required.

Qualifications

• Register as a Social Care Worker with Social Care Wales.
• Work towards HSC/NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Registered with Social Care Wales.
• Experience with diverse client groups and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt support to service users to regain independence.
• Encourage independence and informed choice, considering risks.
• Contribute to reviewing service user needs to ensure appropriate support.
• Collaborate with other professionals to meet needs.
• Maintain records and adhere to policies and procedures.
