Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service in Sunderland is seeking warm, caring and compassionate individuals to empower people with learning disabilities and mental health support needs to live independently and fulfill life in the community.

You will help clients recognize their strengths, support daily living, personal care, budgeting and the administration of prescribed medications while promoting safety and participation in the community. Payment for this position is weekly.

Responsibilities

• Enable service users to become as independent as possible and to grow in confidence, competence and personal effectiveness.
• Support service users in social skills and relationships, personal care and hygiene, daily living and community participation.
• Help maintain safety, security and comfort of service users' homes.
• Assist with claiming full benefit entitlement, budgeting and managing personal finances.
• Responsible for supporting administration and monitoring of prescribed medication.
