Job summary

VIVID Housing in the South of England is recruiting an Independent Living Officer to join our tenancy management team covering Basingstoke and North Hampshire. You will provide enhanced housing management and tenancy support for residents in extra care and sheltered schemes, acting as the first point of contact to keep customers safe and supported.

Qualifications

• CIH or NVQ qualification in housing or related field.
• Experience delivering housing management and tenancy support for older or vulnerable residents.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, mental capacity, and safeguarding procedures.
• Understanding of UK welfare, benefits and health/social care services.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced housing management/tenancy support to Independent Living customers across extra care and sheltered schemes.
• Be the first point of contact for scheme residents and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Organise promotional events to attract prospective residents and promote schemes.
• Identify potential residents and liaise with local agencies to support move to extra care or general needs housing.
• Contribute to multi-agency support plans and attend housing panel meetings.
• Assist residents to sustain tenancies and, where possible, enable independent living.
