Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Housing Management Officer in Wigan to deliver a proactive housing management service to a small caseload of five customers. The role focuses on supporting tenants to sustain their accommodation, comply with licence agreements and progress toward longer-term housing options.

The successful candidate will monitor rent, service charges and arrears, work to maximise income, and collaborate with customers to resolve housing-related issues while supporting their move

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housing management, tenancy sustainment or supported housing.
• Knowledge of licence agreements, rent payments and housing-related issues.
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals to maintain their accommodation.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of five customers, providing housing management support tailored to individual plans.
• Assist customers to maintain placements and progress toward independent living.
• Monitor rent and service charges, support income maximisation and address arrears.
• Ensure customers understand and meet licence agreement requirements.
• Identify and address breaches of licence agreements.
• Collaborate with customers to manage accommodation and resolve housing issues.
• Help customers access longer-term accommodation when ready.
