Job summary

Amplius is seeking a Community Support Worker in Peterborough to provide person-centred housing-related support, helping customers live independently with dignity and manage tenancies, rent, utilities and repairs.

You will develop and review support plans, carry out risk assessments, build positive relationships, coordinate with partner agencies and keep accurate records to monitor progress while promoting safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) and good IT skills.
• Experience providing person-centred support in housing, homelessness or similar settings.
• Understanding safeguarding, wellbeing and challenges faced by people with different support needs.
• Strong communication and listening skills; ability to build positive, non-judgemental relationships.
• Good organisation and administration skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred housing-related support to help customers build confidence and independence.
• Work as a key worker, developing and reviewing support plans and risk assessments with customers.
• Help customers manage their tenancy, including rent, utilities, repairs and maintaining their home.
• Build positive relationships and encourage wellbeing, social inclusion and community involvement.
• Work with partner agencies to coordinate effective support and help customers achieve their goals.
• Keep accurate records, reports and support plans, monitoring progress and outcomes.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety and equality, while managing risks appropriately.
