Job summary

ALABARÉ is a charity providing accommodation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges across the Southwest and Wales. The Enablement Transition Officer - Young People role involves providing practical support on accommodation, life skills, welfare benefits, and health issues to help service users achieve independent living.

A driver’s license is essential, with a roadworthy vehicle and business insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with vulnerable young people is essential.
• Car driver essential with access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues to service users to help them work towards independent living.
• Encourage independence, form trusted relationships and make a genuine difference in young people’s lives.
• Flexibility to move within houses as necessary and to meet the needs of the service.
