Job summary

ALABARÉ is a charity providing accommodation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. As an Enablement Transition Officer - Young People, you will support service users with housing, life skills, welfare benefits and health issues to progress toward independent living.

Experience with vulnerable young people is essential. You will work in a flexible rota covering 7 days, including alternate weekends and bank holidays, and you may be required to sleep in

Salary: £26,968.50 - £27,787.50 Per annum after probation

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week plus 1 contracted sleep in, on a flexible rota covering 7 days a week and will include alternate weekends, bank holidays. Additional payments of £70 for each Sleep in.

All about the role

As an Enablement Transition Officer - Young People, you will provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues: all allowing service users to work towards independent living.

You will provide practical advice and support in order that they might develop their skills and work towards maximising their independence. Experience in working with vulnerable young people is essential and you should be able to work as part of a team or unsupervised and on your own initiative.

Flexibility to move within houses as necessary and to meet the needs of the service.

Car driver essential with access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.
