Job summary

ALABARÉ is seeking an Enablement Transition Officer for Young People Leaving Care to provide accommodation guidance, life-skills training, welfare benefits advice and health support. You will help service users move toward independent living, using practical advice and person-centered approaches.

Experience with vulnerable young people is essential. You must be able to work within a team or independently and be flexible to move between houses.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues to help service users work towards independent living.
• Offer practical advice to help service users develop skills and increase independence.
• Work as part of a team or unsupervised to meet the needs of the service.
• Flexibility to move within houses as necessary.
