ALABARÉ is seeking an Enablement Transition Officer for Young People Leaving Care to provide accommodation guidance, life-skills training, welfare benefits advice and health support. You will help service users move toward independent living, using practical advice and person-centered approaches.

Experience with vulnerable young people is essential. You must be able to work within a team or independently and be flexible to move between houses.

Salary: £26,968.50 - £27,787.50 Per annum after probation

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week on a flexible rota covering 7 days a week and will include weekends, bank holidays and an expectation of 2 sleep ins per week. Additional payments of £70 for each Sleep in.

All about the role:

As an Enablement Transition Officer for Young People Leaving Care you will provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues: all allowing service users to work towards independent living.

You will provide practical advice and support in order that they might develop their skills and work towards maximising their independence. Experience in working with vulnerable young people is essential and you should be able to work as part of a team or unsupervised and on your own initiative.
