Job summary

Not disclosed college in Northamptonshire is seeking a Teaching and Innovation Coach – SEND to join its team. This role focuses on supporting curriculum teams and teaching staff to enhance teaching, learning and assessment with inclusive practice for learners with SEND.

The successful candidate will have strong SEND knowledge, coaching and mentoring skills, with qualifications at Level 5 and Level 3 SEND, and a track record in staff development. This fixed-term position runs until July 2027.

Qualifications

• A Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent).
• A Level 3 SEND qualification.
• Experience coaching or mentoring staff.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching and SEND best practice.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support teaching staff to develop more inclusive, engaging and innovative practice.
• Work with curriculum teams to improve teaching and learning for diverse groups of learners.
• Champion effective SEND strategies across the college.
• Help staff adapt delivery to better meet individual learner needs.
• Share best practice, practical techniques and new approaches to teaching.
• Support the professional development of teaching teams through coaching, mentoring and training.
