Job summary

Mencap in Shepperton is seeking an enthusiastic Shop Manager to run our New Furniture Shop on a 37.5 hour contract. Based mainly in Shepperton with regular travel to other M5 stores, you will lead paid staff and volunteers to drive sales and maintain high merchandising standards.

You will be an inclusive leader, responsible for financial controls, stock rotation, Gift Aid sign-ups, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail environment.
• Ability to manage paid staff and volunteers.
• Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales to meet budgets and KPIs.
• Run a high-density shop with daily stock rotation.
• Ensure stock generation over the door and Gift Aid sign-ups.
• Deliver high standards of customer service at all times.
• Develop the team and volunteers through training and reviews.
• Oversee financial, cash handling, security, safeguarding and safety.
