Job summary

Mencap in Wrexham is seeking a proactive Shop Manager to lead our new team on a full-time 6-month temporary contract. You will manage day-to-day store operations, drive sales, and supervise paid staff and volunteers to deliver excellent service.

You will ensure merchandising standards, oversee stock rotation, Gift Aid sign-ups, and maintain robust financial controls, health and safety, and safeguarding. The role offers a salary of £26,658 per year and a commitment to inclusive, diverse working

Qualifications

• Experience driving sales and meeting KPIs.
• Ability to lead a diverse team including volunteers.
• Customer-focused approach to increase store sales.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales to meet budgets and KPIs.
• Run a high-density shop with merchandising standards and daily stock rotation.
• Generate stock over the door and sign up donors for Gift Aid.
• Deliver high standards of customer service at all times.
• Develop your team and volunteers through training and performance reviews.
• Manage financials, cash handling, security, safeguarding and health and safety.
