Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Classroom Assistant in Newbury (RG20) to support pupils with learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis. Location includes Newbury, Welford, West Berkshire. Salary £95–£110 per day, depending on experience.

Contract is full-time, Monday to Friday, with start date as soon as possible. Hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only. You will help pupils with literacy and numeracy, monitor progress and support safeguarding, creating a calm, inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
• Helping pupils with literacy, numeracy and other curriculum activities.
• Monitoring pupils' progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Supporting pupils' social and emotional development where required.
• Following safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures.
