Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Wokingham, Berkshire, is seeking a Classroom Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis. You will help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours, in a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires caring, patient, reliable candidates who are enthusiastic about working with children and young people, with safeguarding training and a willingness to undertake required DBS checks.

Job description

Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
Salary: £95–£105 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only

As a Classroom Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Supporting children with additional learning needs, including SEND.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils' social and emotional development where required.
• Following school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
