Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils across primary schools in Leatherhead. The role offers flexible patterns with part-time or full-time hours from 8:30 to 3:30, and a competitive daily rate of £93-£100.

The positions involve 1:1 or small-group support, helping pupils stay focused, manage behaviour, and complete work, with ongoing training and a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Passion for education and helping students succeed.
• Strong communication with young people.
• Patient, empathetic approach to supporting students.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is important.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support to a student or small group work within a resource base
• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students in completing assigned work and encouraging independent learning.
• Monitoring student progress and reporting concerns to the class teacher.
