Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Classroom Assistant in Reading (RG4 / RG7) to support pupils during term-time, 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role offers a daily rate of £95–£105 depending on experience, with a focus on creating a calm, inclusive classroom.

You will assist pupils 1:1 and in small groups, encourage learning behaviours, and support those with additional learning needs, while following safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups.
• Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety.
• Experience with SEND is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to develop learning.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs (SEND).
• Promote calm, inclusive classroom environment and positive behaviour.
• Assist pupils' social and emotional development and safeguarding procedures.
