Job summary

Esher Church of England High School is seeking a committed HLTA to join the Inclusion Hub. You will support core subject delivery, primarily English and Maths, for students on personalised timetables or learning pathways and help them stay engaged with learning.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with students and collaborating with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEND colleagues to maintain an inclusive approach and promote the school’s ethos of realising God-given potential.

Qualifications

• Has experience as an HLTA or equivalent and can support English and Maths learning.
• Demonstrates confidence in engaging with students with diverse needs.
• Is well organised, proactive, and adept at building positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the day-to-day running of the Inclusion Hub to create a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Plan and deliver core subject provision, especially English and Maths, for small groups or individuals.
• Collaborate with teachers, Literacy Specialist, ELSA, pastoral and inclusion teams to meet diverse student needs.
• Provide tailored support to help students engage with learning and build independence.
• Monitor progress and contribute to reintegration and personalised support plans.
• Support students in mainstream lessons to access the curriculum and re-engage with learning.
