Job summary

Hednesford Valley High School is seeking an exceptional Inclusion Support Manager to join our dedicated team. This permanent, term-time only role supports vulnerable students, promotes inclusion and well-being, and helps improve behaviour across the school.

You will work with students, families, staff and external agencies to deliver mentoring, pastoral support and structured wellbeing interventions, including coordinating the school's SCIPr program and other targeted strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people, especially those with challenging behaviours.
• Inclusion focus with commitment to helping every student succeed.
• Maintains composure and professionalism in challenging situations.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Excellent record-keeping, administration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support students whose learning is affected by behavioural, emotional or personal challenges.
• Develop positive relationships to improve confidence and engagement.
• Work directly with vulnerable students, including those in crisis.
• Deliver targeted mentoring and intervention programmes for individuals and groups.
• Support students returning after absences or exclusions.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies on support strategies.
• Contribute to inclusive practices and behaviour support school-wide.
• Provide advice and contribute to staff training where appropriate.
• Maintain a visible presence around school to support students and staff.
• Develop and deliver structured therapeutic and wellbeing interventions (including therapy dog work).
• Act as SCIPr Coordinator, ensuring records and legal documents are completed accurately.
• Possess or be willing to undertake minibus driver training if required.
