Job summary

Cheshire College - South & West Crewe Campus is seeking a highly driven leader to head the Learning Support and Inclusion team, removing barriers to learning for learners with SEN, learning difficulties, disability and EHCPs, and to develop, support and manage a high-quality learning support service.

You will lead a team of specialist staff, coordinate EHCP processes, ensure quality assurance, and work with Examinations to manage Exam Access arrangements, contributing to self-assessment and

Qualifications

• Degree and/or comparable professional qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent level 2).
• Knowledge of Additional Learning Support practice and funding in FE.
• Experience coordinating or managing a learning support team.
• Understanding of SEND Code of Practice 2014 and EHCP processes.
• Experience with Exam Access Arrangements/ JCQ requirements.
• Understanding of High Needs Funding.
• Awareness of equality and diversity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership at CLT level to drive quality improvement in response to feedback from learners, parents, employers, staff and inspectors.
• Manage and deploy staff; lead a team delivering support for SEN/LLDD/Inclusive Learning Support; oversee EHCP processes.
• Identify and refer SEND/LLDD support needs; ensure timely referrals.
• Conduct QA activities within Learning Support (observations/learning walks).
• Collaborate with Examinations Manager on Exam Access arrangements; support self-assessment and improvement plans.
