Job summary

Cheshire College South and West is seeking a highly driven leader to join our Learning Support and Inclusion team. This role supports learners with SEN, learning difficulties, disability and EHCPs, and develops, supports and manages a high-quality Learning Support Team.

You will provide strategic leadership at CLT level, deploy staff, oversee SEN/LLDD support, manage EHCP reviews, ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice, and contribute to improvement plans, with travel to other campuses as

Qualifications

• Degree and/or a comparable professional qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent level 2).
• Knowledge of Additional Learning Support funding in FE.
• Experience coordinating or managing a learning support team.
• Understanding SEND Code of Practice 2014 and statutory responsibilities.
• Understanding EHCP processes and JCQ requirements.
• Ability to navigate High Needs Funding issues.
• Awareness of Equality Act 2010 requirements.
• Strong IT literacy: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, inspirational leadership at CLT level to drive quality improvements.
• Lead a team delivering SEN/LLDD support and learning support services.
• Oversee EHCP annual reviews and Local Authority deadlines.
• Identify SEND/LLDD support needs and referrals to Learning Support.
• Carry out QA activities: observations and learning walks.
• Collaborate with Examinations Manager on Exam Access arrangements.
• Contribute to self-assessment and improvement planning.
