Job summary

Cheshire College South and West is seeking an inspiring Learner Wellbeing and Inclusion Coach across Ellesmere Port and Chester campuses to support SEND and disadvantaged learners, helping them overcome barriers to learning, attendance, wellbeing and achievement through one-to-one or group interventions.

You will work with safeguarding teams, tutors and external agencies to identify at risk learners, deliver sustainable wellbeing strategies, facilitate sessions, and maintain records in line with

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject (or equivalent).
• GCSE C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Experience in a supportive environment.
• Experience with disadvantaged or vulnerable young people.
• Ability to build relationships with external agencies.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
• Excellent digital skills.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Identify learners at risk of not achieving learning goals with the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team Leader.
• Support learners with attendance, disaffection, safety and personal circumstances.
• Provide sustainable strategies to improve lives and long-term wellbeing.
• Support learners with anxiety, self-harm, exam stress, sexual health and relationships.
• Provide a managed drop-in facility and assist with wellbeing and safeguarding support.
• Establish relationships with external agencies.
• Maintain documentation to the GDPR standard.
