Job summary

Tilbury Pioneer Academy is seeking an Inclusion Advocate to work within the GLC framework to identify and support the needs of our most vulnerable pupils, including those with SEND. You will partner with the Inclusion Lead and SENDCo to implement consistent support strategies, bridging staff, parents and pupils to promote academic progress and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school setting and supporting learners with SEND (SEMH).
• GCSEs/O-Levels and a Level 2 qualification required; Level 3 desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and SEND Code of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for vulnerable pupils and small groups.
• Collaborate with Teachers to develop Pastoral Support Plans and Regulation Plans.
• Maintain daily contact with assigned pupils to foster positive attitudes and self-regulation.
• Engage families and external practitioners to deliver holistic support.
• Record keeping of pastoral concerns using CPOMS.
• Support transitions and provide de-escalation and conflict-resolution strategies.
