Job summary

JD Logistics is seeking an experienced Inbound Team Leader to supervise the inbound operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment in the UK. You will coordinate unloading, receiving, putaway and stock movement, ensuring accuracy in the WMS and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or supervisor in warehouse/logistics.
• Experience in container unloading, goods receiving, pre-sorting and putaway operations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse receiving, stock control, location management and inventory accuracy.
• Experience handling inbound operational exceptions and system-receiving issues.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the inbound team with clear task allocation and coaching.
• Plan, organise and monitor daily inbound activities including unloading, receiving and putaway.
• Manage labour allocation to ensure inbound volume is processed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure goods are received accurately into the WMS within required timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor putaway progress, backlog, and productivity; adjust priorities and manpower as needed.
• Complete shift handovers and communicate outstanding priorities for the next shift.
