Job summary

JD Logistics is seeking an Inventory Team Leader to oversee daily inventory control in a warehouse, ensuring stock accuracy and guiding a team of Inventory Operatives across inbound, outbound, returns and operations.

You will plan cycle counts and stock takes, reconcile records with physical stock, investigate discrepancies, and drive improvements with cross-functional teams while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, stock management or warehouse operations.
• Previous team-leading or supervisory experience within a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong stock counting, reconciliation and inventory accuracy knowledge.
• Proficient with WMS, ERP, and warehouse scanning systems.
• Good numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear communication across teams and with agency colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Valid MHE licence (Reach Truck/Counterbalance/VNA) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily work of the Inventory team and set priorities.
• Plan cycle counts, stock checks, audits and stock takes.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies (missing stock, overages, etc.).
• Ensure timely inventory adjustments with proper approvals.
• Support inbound/outbound/returns teams with stock queries.
• Coach and train Inventory Operatives; conduct reviews.
• Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports and risk logs.
• Support internal and customer audits as required.
• Uphold Health & Safety and warehouse standards.
