Meridial seeks an Associate Scientist – In Vivo Neuroscience to perform survival neurosurgery and longitudinal two-photon imaging in mice. The role includes optogenetic experiments, viral strategy support, and close collaboration with engineers and computational researchers.

You will work in a small Experimental Team, reporting to the Director of Experimental Research, with hands-on training and mentoring as the project scales in 2027. London-based, on-site work required.

Competenze

• Degree in neuroscience, neurobiology, physiology, neuroengineering or related field or equivalent research experience.

Mansioni

• Perform survival neurosurgery in mice, including cranial-window implantation.
• Conduct in vivo two-photon imaging with longitudinal sessions.
• Run optogenetic experiments to study neural circuits.
• Support viral/transgenic strategies for imaging and manipulation.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and outcomes.
