Meridial seeks an experienced Scientist – In Vivo Neurophysiology to lead hands-on experiments combining intracellular recordings, two-photon imaging and optogenetics. You will establish ground-truth electrophysiology for optical mapping and guide experimental strategy through longitudinal imaging and rigorous analysis.

Competenze

• PhD in neuroscience or related field (or equivalent).
• 3+ years hands-on whole-cell patch-clamp experience.
• Experience with in vivo two-photon microscopy.
• Surgical preparations for in vivo physiology.
• Strong understanding of neuronal physiology and synaptic transmission.
• Ability to translate questions into controlled experimental designs.
• Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Willingness to obtain UK Home Office Personal Licence if needed.

• Conduct in vivo whole-cell patch-clamp recordings with two-photon guidance.
• Contribute to electrophysiological and imaging data analysis.
• Design and run in vivo experiments with longitudinal imaging.
