Meridial seeks an experienced experimental neuroscientist to join as Scientist - In Vivo Neurophysiology in London. The role focuses on advanced in vivo experiments in mice, combining intracellular electrophysiology, two-photon imaging and optogenetic stimulation to map neural circuits and validate optical measurements.

You will establish ground-truth electrophysiology for Meridial’s optical approaches, perform longitudinal imaging, and contribute to method development and team training within

Competenze

• PhD in neuroscience or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Substantial hands-on experience with whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology and stable recordings.
• Experience with craniotomy and headplate implantation for in vivo work.
• Hands-on in vivo two-photon imaging and optogenetic experiments.

Mansioni

• Develop and perform high-quality in vivo whole-cell patch-clamp recordings with two-photon guidance.
• Contribute to analysis of electrophysiological and imaging data.
• Design and run longitudinal in vivo experiments combining imaging and optogenetics.
• Perform neurosurgical procedures for in vivo experiments.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and animal welfare across acute and longitudinal studies.
