Job summary

Boots is looking for a Trainee Dispenser to join our UK store pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and advising patients while you train toward NVQ2. This in-store role focuses on safe medicine delivery and patient care.

No prior experience is required as full training will be provided, and you will complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme. Remote applicants are not considered and UK right to work is required.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence.
