Job summary

Boots in the United Kingdom is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist, assist with dispensing prescriptions, and help ensure safe and compliant delivery of pharmacy services while you train for NVQ2.

This role is in-store in the UK and full training is provided; no prior experience is required. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals in store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Assist in managing repeats and adherence to reduce waste.
