The Catch-Up Academy is seeking In-Person Tutors to support children and young people who are unable to attend school due to SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs. You’ll provide 1:1 academic support in home or community settings, helping learners re-engage with learning during school hours.

This role focuses on rebuilding confidence and motivation, not just academics. Enhanced DBS is essential, a driving licence is often required for travel, and the position offers flexible, term-time hours.

Formación

• Experience tutoring or teaching children with SEN/SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding knowledge are essential.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible timetable.
• Strong communication skills and rapport-building with learners and families.
• Willingness to obtain DBS if not already held and travel to student locations.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions during school hours, typically 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.
• Work with students who are out of school, often at home or in community settings.
• Support learners across core subjects with personalised teaching methods.
• Focus on rebuilding trust and engagement with learning, not just academics.
• Communicate with parents/carers, schools, and support professionals to track progress.
• Log student outcomes and feedback to support each learner’s journey.
