Job summary

The Catch-Up Academy seeks compassionate In-Person Tutors to support children and young people unable to attend school due to SEN, SEMH, or mental health challenges. You will provide tailored 1:1 academic support to help learners re-engage with learning and rebuild confidence.

Sessions are typically during school hours with a flexible, term-time only schedule. DBS clearance and safeguarding knowledge are essential, and travel to student locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching children, especially with SEN or SEMH.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding knowledge are essential.
• Driving licence and ability to travel to student locations are often required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions during school hours (9:00–15:00, Mon–Fri).
• Tutor students who are out of school, often at home or in community settings.
• Support learner across key subjects (English, Maths, Science) with personalised methods.
• Log student outcomes and progress for parents and schools.
