Job summary

Trinity House Group in Birmingham is seeking a Payroll Transformation Lead on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will drive the consolidation of multiple payrolls into a central in-house bureau, with a new HR system landing alongside the payroll change.

You are an experienced payroll professional who can work independently, communicate clearly with finance directors and payroll teams, and deliver a seamless transition across several entities, with short notice availability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll consolidation across multiple entities.
• Experience integrating in-house payroll from external providers.
• Experience handling weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Strong communication with finance and operational teams.
• Available at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of several entities into central payroll team.
• Bring payroll in-house from external provider and manage the handover.
• Consolidate eight payrolls from a recently acquired entity.
• Manage weekly and monthly payrolls for salaried and shift staff.
• Review pay dates across the group and optimize timings.
• Shape the internal payroll bureau and integrate payrolls into it.
• Collaborate with current payroll owners to ensure smooth handover.
• Build relationships with finance directors and stakeholders.
• Ensure National Minimum Wage compliance across all payrolls.
• Own deliverables in a standalone role without direct reports.
