Reed Technology in Bath is seeking a Payroll Manager for a part-time, 12-hour per week role. You will own the payroll process during a transformation from outsourced to in-house, with hybrid working and a focus on implementing a new HR and payroll system.

You will work with HR and Finance, oversee testing, ensure compliance with HMRC, and continue ongoing payroll processing after transition. The role suits an experienced payroll professional seeking flexibility and strategic involvement.

Qualifications

• Significant end-to-end payroll experience.
• Strong payroll legislation knowledge.
• Payroll and pensions administration experience.
• Experience working with payroll and HR systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate as a standalone payroll specialist.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for over 550 employees.
• Lead payroll implementation and transition projects.
• Ensure payroll compliance with HMRC and statutory requirements.
• Manage pension administration and auto-enrolment activities.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Produce payroll reports, forecasts and audit information.
• Act as the key contact for payroll and pension queries.
• Drive continuous improvements to payroll processes and systems.
