Job summary

Newstone Talent Solutions is assisting an established professional services business in London to hire an experienced Payroll Manager to lead its UK payroll on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will own end-to-end UK monthly payroll for over 3,000 employees across seven pay groups, leading a team of five payroll specialists and working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Reward and IT. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end UK payroll in a medium/large corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Payroll and Workday implementations and optimisations.
• Proven ability to lead payroll transformation and drive process improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and governance skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UK monthly payroll for 3,000+ employees across seven pay groups.
• Lead a team of five payroll specialists and collaborate with Finance, HR, Reward and IT.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax, pensions and internal policies.
• Drive process improvements, automation and reporting enhancements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee pension auto-enrolment, statutory deductions, and annual remuneration reviews.
