Qualifications

• The candidate must be a Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with litigation rights.
• Experience in Civil Procedure Rules is essential.
• Comfortable handling a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Commercial awareness and ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels.
• Interest in legal technology, process improvement and modern ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of defendant litigation matters from pre-action to resolution.
• Advise on legal strategy, risk, settlement opportunities and court deadlines.
• Collaborate with paralegals, managers and senior stakeholders for effective outcomes.
• Support legal operations initiatives, process improvements and best-practice docs.
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge to support team development.
