The In House Litigation Solicitor will be:* Managing a portfolio of defendant litigation matters from pre action through to resolution, including higher value and complex claims* Advising on legal strategy, risk, settlement opportunities and compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements* Working closely with paralegals, managers and senior stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes and excellent client service* Supporting legal operations initiatives, process improvements, reporting and the development of best practice documentation* Contributing to colleague development through mentoring, feedback and knowledge sharing

The Successful Applicant

The In House Litigation Solicitor should be:* A Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with litigation practice rights* Experienced in litigation with a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules* Comfortable managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision* Commercially aware and confident communicating with stakeholders at different levels* Interested in legal technology, process improvement and modern ways of working
