Job summary

Care Support is seeking a Care and Support Worker to assist individuals living in their own homes within an Extra Care environment. You will help with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and domestic duties to promote independence.

You will document visits, follow care plans, and contribute to team updates while participating in training and weekend/Bank Holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; willingness to attend induction training and Care Certificate.
• Ability to follow care plans, support plans and risk assessments.
• Willingness to learn and follow Care Support policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to customers living in their own home within an Extra Care environment.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care (washing, dressing, meals) as needed.
• Perform domestic duties (cleaning, laundry, meal prep) with respect for privacy.
• Promote independence by using mobility aids and safe handling techniques.
• Record visits accurately, including medication charts when required.
• Communicate changes in service user needs to the office team promptly.
• Attend training and team meetings as part of ongoing development.
• Work weekends and bank holidays in a 24/7 care environment.
