Job summary

Leonard Cheshire is seeking a senior social care leader to drive improvement across services in England and Wales, covering South East/South West England. The role focuses on performance, quality and sustainability with regular UK travel to supported sites.

You will lead service improvement, manage budgets, and foster collaboration with commissioners and regulators while upholding Leonard Cheshire values and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

  • Senior leadership experience in social care with budget and services across multiple sites.
  • Professional/management qualification relevant to social care.
  • Proven experience delivering service improvement and turnaround programmes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
  • Willingness to travel UK-wide to support services on-site.

Location:

Ideally based in the South East/South West England e.g. Bromley, Romsey, Banbury, Cheltenham, Bristol, Cornwall - regular travel to our services in these locations will be required

Salary:

£55,597 per annum + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

About You

With a proven track record of delivering service improvements and operational excellence within budget and across multiple sites, you'll have a strong understanding of social care regulations and policy, excellent stakeholder management, leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.

Essential Requirements
  • Significant senior leadership experience in social care
  • Relevant professional and/or management qualification
  • Proven experience delivering service improvement and turnaround programmes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
  • Passion for improving outcomes for disabled people.
  • Regular UK travel/ overnight stays are required to support services on-site.
Desirable Requirements
  • Qualification in Social Care Management.
  • Strong professional network within the social care sector.
