Job summary

DFDS is seeking a Transport Operator to coordinate import shipments, manage customs clearances, and arrange deliveries while delivering excellent customer service. You will work closely with customs brokers, planning teams and end users to ensure orders and documentation are accurate and up to date.

No formal qualifications are required as full training will be provided; prior transport or logistics experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for role

Responsibilities

• Organising import customs clearances and liaising with customs brokers to ensure shipments are processed efficiently.
• Booking deliveries and communicating with end users to coordinate delivery schedules and provide updates.
• Creating and processing orders, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
• Liaising with the planning team to arrange transport and ensure the timely movement of goods.
• Handling customer enquiries via email and telephone, working collaboratively within a small team to deliver a high standard of service.
