Job summary

WR Logistics in Dartford is seeking an Import Operator to join our established freight forwarding team. You will manage import shipments from booking to delivery, ensure customs compliance, and handle CDS declarations with accuracy.

The role requires prior import operations or freight forwarding experience, knowledge of UK customs procedures, and strong IT skills. You will liaise with customers, suppliers and transport teams to keep shipments moving smoothly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage import shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Complete and process import customs entries.
• Liaise with customers, hauliers, overseas agents and other parties.
• Prepare and check import documentation.
• Ensure customs declarations are accurate and compliant.
• Manage customs queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers.
• Coordinate with transport and warehouse teams for smooth movement of goods.
• Maintain accurate operational records and assist with general import ops.
