Job summary

Ethero Strategic Staffing is seeking an Import & Export Coordinator for their Hams Hall, Birmingham location. The role ensures efficient movement of goods, accurate import/export documentation, and proactive communication with customers, suppliers, carriers and customs representatives.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, at a site that is expanding with a new location. You will join a growing logistics team and help maintain compliance with regulatory

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily use of ASM Sequoia, customs clearance site as well as Destin8 & CNS.
• Claim UCN's, track containers and trailers and freight management.
• Prepare and process import and export documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with hauliers, freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers and customers.
• Assist with customs clearance and ensure documentation meets all relevant requirements.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing timely updates where required.
• Check the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and related paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and customs documentation.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure the smooth movement of goods.
• Investigate and resolve delivery, documentation and shipment issues.
• Ensure all import and export procedures comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
