Job summary

Premier Work Support is recruiting an Import & Cross Trade Load Planner in Basildon to join the operations team on a permanent basis. The role involves planning container movements from China to the UK and USA, selecting services based on transit times and cost, and coordinating co-load shipments from various origin points.

You will work closely with overseas agents, our UK Import team, and our USA Cross Trade team to ensure smooth freight movements.

Premier Work Support are working alongside their client based in Basildon who are currently recruiting for a permanent enthusiastic and career-focused Import & Cross Trade Load Planner to join their operations team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with export shipments from China and be eager to develop their knowledge within international freight forwarding.

The role involves planning container movements from China to the UK and USA, selecting the most appropriate services based on transit times and cost, and coordinating co-load shipments from various origin points. The successful candidate will work closely with overseas agents, our UK Import team, and our USA Cross Trade team to ensure the smooth movement of freight.

Customer communication and occasional quotation support will also form part of the role. Cross-training with other team members will be required to provide operational cover when needed.
