Job summary

Premier Work Support is recruiting an Import & Cross Trade Load Planner in Basildon to join the operations team on a permanent basis. The role involves planning container movements from China to the UK and USA, selecting services based on transit times and cost, and coordinating co-load shipments from various origin points.

You will work closely with overseas agents, our UK Import team, and our USA Cross Trade team to ensure smooth freight movements.

Qualifications

• Experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping operations.
• Knowledge of export movements from China.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Keen to learn, develop and progress within the business.

Responsibilities

• Plan container movements from China to the UK and USA.
• Select services based on transit times and cost.
• Coordinate co-load shipments from various origin points.
• Work with overseas agents, UK Import team and USA Cross Trade team.
• Provide customer communication and quotation support.
• Cross-train for operational cover when needed.
