Job summary

Targeted Provision is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to work with Schools and Local Authorities, delivering Maths, English or Science to learners with SEMH and SEND needs. The roles are self-employed with options for in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching.

Applicants should have QTS/QTLS, at least 2 years of teaching experience, and a strong safeguarding awareness. DBS can be facilitated, and the role emphasizes a trauma-informed, flexible tutoring approach for vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• Two years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PM LD in a trauma-informed way.
• Qualifications: QTS or QTLS are required.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references are preferred.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid maths, English or science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan and report lessons and give regular progress feedback to authorities and families.
• Support pupils from KS1–KS5 with trauma-informed tutoring and mentorship.
• Contribute to raising the standard of education for vulnerable young people.
