Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children and young people with Special Educational Needs. You will help them access learning, build confidence and achieve goals in a supportive classroom.

Role requires Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification, caring and patient approach, and ability to work in a team to support learners with a range of needs within an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably within an SEN setting.
• A caring, patient and supportive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with their learning and development.
• Support children with additional and special educational needs.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils' independence, confidence and wellbeing.
