Job summary

Aspire People is actively recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of needs across local schools. The role involves providing 1:1 and small group support, helping with learning, communication and emotional regulation, and assisting with personal care when required.

You will work alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement behaviour and learning support plans, contributing to a safe and inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in school, care, youth work or similar preferred
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
• Support learning, communication and emotional regulation
• Assist with personal care where required
• Help implement behaviour and learning support plans
• Work with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
