Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to support academic, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities include supporting pupils in class, implementing ILPs, promoting positive behaviour, and collaborating with parents to create a safe, inclusive environment. Training can be provided for those new to SEN roles.

Qualifications

• Be patient, empathetic, and reliable.
• Have a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN.
• Be able to work well as part of a team.
• Have good communication skills.
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in the classroom and during activities
• Assist with implementing individual learning plans (ILPs)
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
