Job summary

Piper Hill High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 1 SEN to join the fantastic team. The role is a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus 5 INSET days, with a pro-rata salary of £22,730 and FTE £26,427. Interviews are planned for the week of 12 October 2026 and start date will follow checks.

You will support learning across the school under supervision, with a focus on SEN needs, teamwork, and professional development. Experience with children with complex needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups under the supervision of the teacher and implement Individual Learning Plans.
• Provide regular feedback on children’s progress and keep records up to date.
• Assist with supervising discreet groups of pupils when the teacher is not present.
• Support equal access to learning and opportunities for all pupils.
• Participate in training to develop relevant learning strategies and ensure progress.
• Support performance management and ongoing professional development.
• Communicate clearly in spoken English as part of the role.
