Job summary

Piper Hill High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 4 to join its team. This is a Grade 6 post, working 35 hours per week term time only plus one week, with a starting salary of £29,448 and a full-time equivalent of £34,237.

The role requires extensive experience supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, including those with communication challenges and complex learning needs.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Numeracy and Literacy at level 2 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for whole classes and short-term teacher absences.
• Plan, prepare and deliver learning programmes and support individual students and groups.
• Support pupils with diverse needs and address barriers to learning.
• Assess and report on student progress and behaviour to the class teacher.
• Promote inclusive practice and positive pupil wellbeing.
