Job summary

SENse Learning in Chippenham is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and tailored learning support for young people with complex needs. Roles include Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant and Education Mentor, with ongoing hiring and rolling interviews.

Responsibilities include developing strong relationships, delivering creative sessions, and supporting life skills in homes or community settings. DBS and references may be required; UK work rights apply.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Background in care or education roles is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in varied settings.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
• Model and encourage emotional regulation and flexible learning strategies.
• Provide feedback and progress reflections to tailor support.
